Construction Phase Plans
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) requires construction phase plans for every construction project.
A Construction Phase Plan will implement any form of organisation or arrangement required to manage risks and co-ordinate work on site. M.E.L. are highly experienced in producing plans that contain the right amount of information and are easy to use and maintain.
If you require any assistance in formulating or implementing your construction phase plan, please arrange a free consultation with one of health and safety professionals by contacting us on 01708 555544 or Enquiry Form
CDM doesn’t have to be difficult; we can help you make it simple.
Whether you are working for a commercial client or a domestic client, you will be in control of the project whether you are the only contractor or the principal contractor.
You could be a builder, plumber or other tradesman, doing small-scale routine work such as:
- installing a kitchen or bathroom;
- structural alterations, e.g. chimney breast removal;
- roofing work, including dormer windows;
- extension or loft conversion.
You will be responsible for:
- preparing a plan;
- organising the work; and
- working together with others to ensure health and safety.
A simple plan before the work starts is usually enough to show that you have thought about health and safety.
If the job will last longer than 500 person days or 30 working days (with more than 20 people working at the same time) it will need to be notified to HSE and it is likely to require a specifically tailored plan to suit the project.
